    Hey guys

This is the final stretch before GCSE exams. In the hopes of not procrastinating any more, I made this thread to make sure I get my work done by publicising what I do.

Subject - Exam Board - Mock Result(s) - School Prediction - Personal Goal (Realistically)

    Maths (higher) - Edexcel - 7(Feb), 8(March) - 9 - 8 (I refuse to predict a 9 because I don't know what will acheive one)
    Further Maths Level 2 - AQA - n/a - n/a - A
    English Language - AQA - 5 - 8 - 7
    English Literature - AQA - 5(Feb), 6(March) - 8 - 6
    Biology - Edexcel - A* - A* - A*
    Chemistry - Edexcel - A - A - A*
    Physics - Edexcel -A- A - A
    Computer Science - OCR - A - A - A
    History - Edexcel - A - A - B
    French - Edexcel - B - A - A*
    Business Studies - Edexcel - A* - A* - A*
    Religious Studies - AQA - A* - A* - A*

My personal goals for the following subjects may change after the Easter holidays depending on CA results:

    - Computer Science (A453)
    - History
    - Business Studies

The CA's I have already received results for:
Computer Science (A452) - A (according to last years grade boundaries, I was 1 off an A*. Boundaries are done on a bell curve so hopefully I can get an A* according to this years boundaries.)
    Biology - A* [46/50]
    Chemistry - A* [48/50]
    Physics - A* [47/50]
French (you submit the top 2 from writing and speaking) - Speaking: A, A*; Writing: A, A*

I will be writing up a task list each day and will change the colour of the task if I complete or fail to complete it.
    Green = Completed
    Orange = Half done
    Red = Not completed

Best of luck! GCSEs are not too bad because they're essentially just memorising the content. So long as you have a good understanding of what the question is asking you, you'll be fine. And you've already received great marks in your CAs as well which always helps. I got 4 A*s in my French controlled assessments (all full UMS) but then got a B in the reading and C in the listening exams, but because of my CAs, I got a high A overall.

Thanks! Well done on the A (how do you even get full UMS in french? that amazes me.)

I'm really glad that I did good in all my French CA's because I'm most likely to flop the listening and reading .

Ah your controlled assessment results for the sciences are so good, our science department isn't telling us what we got which is so annoying

Good luck on achieving the grades you want I'm sure you can do it!

I haven't actually learnt everything (differentiation, matrices, trig functions)yet I know it's bad. I'm doing the course externally and I hope to get it all done by the exam. I don't think it's EXTREMELY hard but it can be a struggle sometimes because I'm learning it myself.

The personal goal I gave myself is based on past papers I have done.

    How are you finding it?

Ooh good luck, that's quite a lot of the course!

Aside from that, best of luck for your exams and I hope you hit your personal goals! Will be watching this

    Thank you so much

And as for the rest of the course I have to get done, I've got the textbook and am hoping to finish it before the end of the holidays. I have a basic understanding of the topics but not in depth enough for me to say that I've learnt them.

What I want to get done today:

    English:
    - Macbeth key quote flash cards [2 hours]

    Maths:
    - Maths homework (3 sheets of questions) [2 hours]

    Religious Studies:
    - Christian Ethics key Bible quote flash cards [1 hour]

I don't know if I've given myself too much to do in the time I have allocated, I guess only time can tell.

    Spoiler:
    Show

I actually need to clean my desk before I can get any of the work done

    Update:
Yepp, I couldn't finish the maths (around an hours worth of work left to do) I'll do the rest tomorrow. I really underestimated the time it would take to make those flash cards
I'm thinking of making tomorrow a maths day, further maths and possibly some past papers (I hate that not all the new spec specimen papers are available to us.)

Sooo... I almost forgot to make an update today
I didn't make it a completely maths day like I thought of doing yesterday, all in all I was a lot less productive than I would have liked.

I suppose I'll just list what I got done

    Maths:
-Maths homework (1.5 sheets of questions) [1 hours] (so glad i finished this today, it was a lot more in depth than I thought it would be)

    English:
-Re-read An Inspector Calls [45 minutes]
    Spoiler:
    Show

I then got carried away and read The Picture of Dorian Grey which is why I didn't get too much done today. It could count as creative writing prep right?

    Business Studies:
    - Unit 1 past paper [45 minutes]
