In most subjects we were usually told to use the structure point, evidence, explanation
I guess this could be applied to English?
As the poetry essays are a comparison of two poems, always make sure that you are including quotations from both poems and using key terminology to analyse them.

I'm currently studying English lit at A level but yh the PEE paragraphs is the most effective way when setting out your essay. Don't forget when you are comparing the poems talking about rhyme scheme stanza lengths analyse one word quotes punctuation. If there is a adjective in the poem that you would like to comment on say it's an adjective don't say "ohh it's a word" best of luck people coz this year GCSE's have got you tied to the ground😱😱
