Me and a friend (both 16 from UK) want to go on holiday to another country and need to book a hotel. On most hotel booking websites it says adults are classed as 18+. In the UK you can stay in a hotel at the age of 16+ with out a parent. Will this be the same as a different country?

U might wanna try contacting the hotel itself.... each hotel has its own policies

Depends on the country and the hotel. I can't imagine it makes much difference to them as long as you pay for the room. I have never been ided at a hotel.

You could try AirBnB and attempt to arrange something with the host. I was successful in doing that, although admittedly I was turning 18 just a few days later.

You can rent a whole apartment or house if you want to. I'm renting in Prague this summer with my sister for a little over £40 per night (that's £20 per person).

Just book one where you pay there. If they turn you away you can just go elsewhere.
