Production of a dilution series of a glucose solution and use of colorimetric techniques to produce a calibration curve with which to identify the concentration of glucose in an unknown ‘urine’ sample.

use a serial dilution to produce a set of glucose solutions which have same dilution factor. Make sure each sol is same volume. add benedict's solution and warm in water bath. add same amount of benedicts, warm for same amount of time. set colorimeter to 0 using distilled water blank. Use a red filter and set to absorbance. Measure absorbance of each solution and plot a graph of absorbance against glucose conc. Place same volume of urine as was volume of glucose solution in water bath with benedicts, measure absorabce, read off graph to find glucose conc.
