Entering LNAT on UCAS form?

In the 'Education' bit, when i'm entering my qualifications, do i have to put LNAT in as well under my current school? or is that only for people who are applying later and did their LNAT last year at their last school?:s-smilie:

I'm sending it all off today so please help!

As far as I'm aware, you don't need to mention the LNAT anywhere on the UCAS application form.

I'm having the same problem except with a different test - the ELAT, which means that if I have this on my UCAS form all the unis will know I'm applying to Oxford as it is an Oxford specific test :s-smilie:. I've put it in with my qualifications at my current school, don't know if thats right or not, however I'm pretty sure all admissions tests have to be mentioned, theres a bit on UCAS about it:
"Additional admissions tests

Some universities and colleges require applicants applying for certain subjects to sit additional admissions tests as part of the admissions process. An up-to-date list of tests can be found here.

You should enter details for any admissions tests you have already taken with results and for any admissions tests you still need to take. All your choices of university or college will see the information you have entered for your qualifications. Only certain universities and colleges require specific admissions tests for particular courses so when you provide details for an admissions test, you give some indication of the institutions to which you have applied and the type of courses. The universities and colleges will not, however, have the details of any of the other institutions or courses you have entered in the choices section of your application."

i've just seen this -- i didn't know we had to add the lnat, and as a post-qualification applicant ucas won't let me add it, saying that the date i'm sitting it is after i finished school. which it is. any way of getting round this?

You dont add the LNAT.

You add your UCAS number to your LNAT application and go from there.

Phew! I thought so; now that you've said that I may actually sleep tonight.

that's what i thought... but the quote/link above seems to suggest otherwise :s-smilie:

think i will just add the ucas number to the lnat app tho, much simpler than trying to add the lnat to ucas and mistakenly adding it four times :p:
The online UCAS system is new...cut them some slack :P

under your school in the education section select 'add qualification'
then click 'other'
then scroll to A -- click 'Admissions Tests...'
select LNAT from the list
et voila. don't know about adding a specific score though as i'm sitting mine at the end of the month.

That's what i was worried about before but after talking to a few people, i don't think its that big of an issue.

If you've got decent grades, you're bound to be applying to an LNAT uni, and even if you don't have it down on your UCAS, universities will probably guess/assume you are.

they will know...but they won't know what to make of the numbers...its also not part of their admission criteria...so i'm guessing its not that big of a deal

If you take the LNAT your score gets automatically forwarded to the universities you applied to which required the LNAT.

You HAVE TO enter the LNAT on your application if you're sitting it, and put it under your current school. I only found this out yesterday, so it's lucky I checked the forum or I wouldn't have known!

I realise this is a few days old, but it caught my eye.

Just noticed your reply literally about 10 minutes before sending my form away. Thanks, I think I will take it off my UCAS form now after reading that thread!
