I doubt it.
Hi,

How did you get on?

I definitely agree all the practices were much easier and I have just had a similar situation and I'm doing a Maths degree!! I managed to complete all the verbal reasoning questions but only managed to complete 13/24 for the numerical reasoning as they werent the simplest little problems.

I managed to do 31/40 for Verbal and 12/24 for numerical and passed. I went more for accuracy. But I should say the numerical test was more difficult than I had expected...
Well they have just invited me to go for an interview so I assume what I did answer was correct (or most of it) so I do agree its more about being accurate.

well i got 3 emails, one telling me to go online and book my interview, another one telling me to wait for them to contact me to sort out an interview date in the next 2 weeks, and one telling me to wait and they will sort-out an e-tray date for me before my final round interview! confused.....its the interview first isn't it?

I think the KPMG online tests were very difficult.

I failed my verbal reasoning. Mustve got below 10 or something. My maths was fine however. O well it was my first ever recruitment test so i know where to work on for next time. But those tests were bloody hard. The example ones were piss but these were next level

I thought the KPMG online tests were hard too - finished the verbal, but I think I only did just over half of the numerical. Just have to remember that they're not expecting us to finish them in 20 mins..
Hopefully they'll get back to me early next week about them, but they were so much harder than the Deloitte ones!
u usually hear the next working day. I was really counting on KPMG being a part of my gap year. As it was my first ever assesment test i panicked when i saw 5 mins on the clock and i rushed it. Im so terrified of doing another verbal test.
****ing hell. These tests were insanely hard! Who are these cubiks people who make up the tests?! MUCH MUCH harder than SHL ones. And I swear they tailor the verbal reasoning based on your educational background or something, cos virtually all the questions were about stuff I've studied in my degree so it was hard to ignore all the stuff I already know when answering the questions!
It was a similar situation when i applied for deloitte, the verbal reasoning seemed pretty good, but the numerical was a nightmare! Only answered about 12/24!
Yeah, got an email this morning saying I passed, though! So well happy about that. Obviously other people have found them hard as well, so they must compare your results to what other people got and moderate the marks in some way! Gotta prepare for the first interview now

I messed up the online test. Now i will apply for an audit position in oslo instead( PWC), where they dont do any online tests, just two simple interviews. I cant really be bothered with all the iterviews in the london office, it is overkill.

By the way:

in the oslo office
1 salary much higher than in london
2 much more spare time
3 less traveling
4 better looking girls
5 oslo is generally cheaper than london
6 you can get away really cheap with an apartment in the city.

I really tried to get into the london office, but since i failed the kpmg test, im not going to be bothered by anymore online tests. I know i could do the job perfectly well, since accounting is generally quite simple, and Ive gotten the best grades of all the 140 students in my class in every accounting subject. Yes i do hate online tests

I passed the KMPG numerical, not the verbal reasoning(which shouldnt come as a surprice, since english isnt my native language). I could apply for a position in oslo, and then second to london, even though, the london office said i was not good enough when I failed the verbal reasoning test, but still i end up in london even though.

Wow, look at that huge chip on your shoulder. Surprised your arm manages to hang on!

As has been said on many occasions... they don't go for people who can get the best result in their exams, they go for people who can do a range of tasks and from the interviews, those who have good people skills.

Exam don't grade intelligence and common sense, they grade how good your memory is.
