Limiting reactant problem

Which is the limiting reacting when 0.500 mol of ammonium hydroxide and 0.500 mol of phosphoric acid are allowed to react?

Thanks!

Since you have the same number of mol of both, compare the stoichiometry of the balanced overall equation and see which one you need more of.

You need 3 moles of ammonium hydroxide for each mole of phosphoric acid. So the ammonium hydroxide is the limiting reagent and the phosphoric acid is in excess
