Given your waist measurement, that seems pretty reasonable. That's still a fairly small chest measurement though, since a lot of men's clothes don't really go below a 36 - I myself sometimes end up with 38s because 36s aren't widely available enough, but it can be quite a good incentive to bulk up a bit .

thats bull poo if i ever heard it! im 5ft 8, nearly 14 stone and have a 32 inch waist. i have no problems at all finding 32's, 34's, in fact id say they are the most common measurements of clothing you see.

I'm 5"6, and slim, so I thought why not post in this thread........

I've been able to find trousers and jeans ok, but have you ever tried shopping for blazers / suits ?! It's almost impossible to find one for my size - which is 36" S. I spent hours/days before I finally found one I liked for my size.

I know what you mean! I finally found a DJ which fit me perfectly though - from Moss Bros, chest 34 (took ages and ages to find!), problem is it looks ace but I never get a chance to wear it! I just wish I could find a suit which fit as well... Where'd you get yours from?

Zara?

Zara don't even do small or go below 32" waist

Best bet would be American Apparel in Carnaby Street. If you want something that fits well, then don't go to Topman, River Island, Burton and that lot. Also try Urban Outfitters in Covent Garden, they don't always have small sizes but it's worth a look. I get a lot of my leather ties from their vintage department. H&M might also be worth looking at.

Wow man i'm 15 years old and i'm 5ft and i'm XS with 26-27 waist. people tease me for that but your a adult and ur xs? i don't get that.

you can purchase xxs and xs mens clothing in Topman, primark do a small range of mens clothes in xs too, but thats all wehave been able to find

Reply 31

Occasionally, I see Topman do waist 26 and it's extra small length it's either 26"/26" or 26"/28". Same problem but I'm 6 foot. :frown:

As mentioned already, American Apparell is really good for t shirts ect in small sizes, the quality's ok but they're made in LA and they're reasonably priced. Much nicer than a lot of the rubbish in topman at the moment.

But another idea is to have a look at some japanese type clothing shops on the internet, as the men there are naturally smaller built and shorter. A lot of top quality japanese jeans and stuff are made in sizes down to about 25" waste.

Try Levi Jeans. They do 27" waist I'm fairly sure

Reply 34

Not sure if anyone's mentioned them, but H&M and New Look. H&M do jeans with 27" waist, and New Look definitely do XS. They might even do XXS in their mens stuff.

If anyone is looking for a s****y suit go to Moss and to their Ventuno (or something like that) range. It's all pretty much designed for smaller, slimmer guys, was a godsend when I finally bumped into it as all the decent suits were massive for me.

It sounds Italian, so I guess as many Italian men are small it makes sense.

Haha  the forum edited out my foul language . S-w-a-n-k-y was the word I meant to write.

Ventuno 21 - it's an in-house brand, so most likely British with an exotic name for marketing. Their remit is urban contemporary, so their stash is slim fit for the most part. I second the recommendation  (although it's good for us taller, slimmer guys too  )

My hubby never wear slim fit clothes.

I'm about 5ft 2" with a 28" chest. I've found Topman fits perfectly for their XXS size. I've yet to find another brand that does men's XXS clothing, though their XS fits pretty good as well. Their flagship on Oxford St. is a must visit and they almost always have some sort of sale going on. Quality is pretty good but the designs may be too "flashy" for some but it is what it is.

Zara's in London does seem to stock any XS clothing, but I found Zara's in Paris carried tons of XS Mens articles, so maybe if Zaras has a separate website for other european nations apart from UK, check it out.

H&M clothing are usually too big, even their XS clothing which is pretty rare. I've found their store in central london near Oxford Circus has the best chances of holding smaller sizes for men.

River Island does stock XS mens, it fits much better than H&M but not anywhere near as good as Topman. Their prices though are quite reasonable. You can usually get basics for 2 for 1 specials. Again, Oxford Street's branches have been the ones where I've had the most luck.

Gap doesn't seem to do XS often enough, but their Small can usually fit pretty well. Really good quality and decent prices.

In terms of online you can check brands like Aeropost, American Apparel, American Eagle, Urban Outfitters (very nice xs designs and considerably cheaper than purchasing in store) and Quicksilver. As others have suggested, try purchasing items from the kids department. I do, the designs are exactly the same for bases like polos and shirts, and the costs are way less. Always check the children's section online if the adult sizes are too big.
