I'm doing poetry love and relationships cluster currently in eng lit (in year 10).
You could compare:
"Eden Rock" and "Walking Away" - childhood memories
"Letters From Yorkshire" and "The Follower" - admiration, rural life
"Nettles" and "Free-Wheeling" - growing up
"Walking Away" and "Mother, Any Distance" - parent struggle to let go of child
"Porphyria's Lover" and "The Farme'r's Bride" - destructive love
"Porphyria's Lover" and "Sonnet 29" - obsession

Attached is my marked comparison of "Nettles" and "Free-Wheeling".

I have similar ideas but would do these ifferently:
Love's Philosophy and Sonnet 29- desire, natural imagery
Neutral Tones and Winter Swans- setting, initial tone
When We Two Parted and Neutral Tones- structure, separation
Letters from Yorkshire and Winter Swans- separation

When we two parted and Neutral Tones - difficulties in love, references to suffering and death
Love's Philosophy and Sonnet 29 - nature, physical desire
Porphyria's lover and The Farmer's bride - demanding, male dominated
Sonnet 29 and letters from Yorkshire - long distance, nature,
There's a youtube channel called 'Mr Bruff' and he explains all of the poems and goes through some comparisons as well so you might want to check him out.

Hope this helps!

I personally would use The Farmer's Bride to show contrast between the two relationships. I find Singh Song! to be a very female led relationship which definitely can be compared with that of The Farmer's Bride.

Cathlindsay, Singh Song is a difficult poem to analyse in the Love and Relationship Poems cluster. If I were to be given it in a question, I would compare it with "Sonnet 29 I think of thee" by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. They both present romantic relationships and express the obstacles which prevent their relationships from progressing. In Singh Song, there are religious and cultural obstacles while in Sonnet 29, it is his absence.

After understanding your dilemma, I would kindly suggest that you watch Mr Bruff. He is very good. I am sure you will enjoy his videos and will find them very helpful.
