18 Years Old - Old Enough To Stay Over At Bf's House?

Hi.

I'm 18 and I've been with my boyfriend for just over 8 months, the problem is that my parents just wont let me stay overnight at his house. I don't properly understand what they're problem is with it, they aren't normally strict parents. I'm allowed to do whatever else I want without restrictions and my boyfriend lives about 5 minutes away from my house. My parents threaten me that if I tried to stay over then they would come and pick me up! The only thing is that my boyfriend has only met my parents once or twice. I'm 18, an adult and soon to be 19 and my parents seem to be treating me like a child! (I'm an only child if that makes any difference.) How were your parents about letting you stay over? Any advice about what you think I should do or am I simply stuck to these rules while I'm living under their roof?
