So, this was something that was kinda randomly thrown into our medical quiz but I'm kinda confused the whole process of break down;
So Hydroxyapatite is broken down by carbonic acid in the presence of carbonic anhydrase and I know that hydroxyapatite is present in numerous sites in the body inc. parietal cells, renal tubular cells and red cells. But what is the purpose of this breakdown?
