The Student Room Group
There's plenty of people around! It's been awesome so far I've felt. What in particular haven't you liked?
I'm on a degree course that's run inside a college, and not only have I not got the chance of meeting other freshers, but most of the students in the college are under 18. I've been in my course group for a week, and there isn't a single person I 'gel' with. I'm absolutely gutted. So I can see where you're coming from. Unfortunately, I haven't got a clue what we can do about our situations...
Erm by any chance, are you doing Chem Eng?

I'm having a grand ol' time. I haven't formed a group but rather I hang out with different people everyday which is cool. What exactly aren't you liking about UCL?

Hey OP I kinda feel the same. I like my course and i don't regret choosing UCL but i'm feeling so lonely...i just want a friend! :frown:

I don't understand why you're in a college though. Can you not meet other freshers at socieities and halls...or do you live at home?

I haven't gone to Uni yet but have done a freshers week where I live. My tactic was to talk to anyone and everyone, and at the end of the first night I was in some fresher's flat  Just talk to people

That's the great thing - I can now walk down the high street and have loads of people shouting 'whey, how you doin Mike!?' without having a clue who any of them are :p:
