Rate of reaction help needed

Hi, for 1dii) in this paper I am unsure about the answer which states that the concentration of glucose will halve after 3 seconds due 1 half-life and [HCl] remains as 0.1 mol dm-3. For the prevous part of this question I found that the reaction is first order with respect to both reactants.
Thanks

Half life of MALTOSE is 3s therefore conc falls to 0.05.

[H+] remains the same because it's not used up. Second sentence of the question tells you it's a catalyst.
