Hi everyone, hope all are well.

I was wondering if someone could list/link a list /Document of all trig identities that should be known for Edexcel C3 Maths Exam. (Both which are on the formula booklet and those which aren't including proofs as well) as well as Trig Derivatives when differentiating Trig.

Asking on different threads can sometimes get contradicting answers.

But I appreciate and am grateful for all your help! PI know your answers would aid all the other students in their quest to conquer C3

I'm not on Edexcel so I don't know what specific identities you will need. I'm sure that if you go through your textbook you could find all the identities with proofs and it would be good revision too.

This is a copy of the formula booklet so it should be a good starting point for you.

The essential identities are given to you in the formula booklet. You will also need to know:

  • cos^2(x) + sin^2(x) = 1
  • 1 + tan^2(x) = sec^2(x) (doesn't hold when cos(x)=0)
  • 1 + cot^2(x) = csc^2(x) (doesn't hold when tan(x)=0)

May as well mention that the second one doesn't hold when \cos(x)=0
