I love UCL but some things annoy me...

There's a ridiculous amount of bureaucracy involved over here. It's even like it with internet banking. I still can't understand why it takes five working days for money transferred from my dad's bank account with Barclays to my account with HSBC to clear. Utterly stupid.

Hey dan, btw did you join the Dragons in the end then? I've been going to the UCL Ice. In addition I love the way you spelt 'cheque' the yank way the first time and then started using the UK (i.e. correct :p:

) way.

Yeah actually I ended up playing for them...were just starting up now practicing once a week at Lee Valley Ice Centre.
Nice to notice my spelling change with the word cheque...I didn't even realize I did that. I've been trying to use the British spellings of everything since I figure I'll look like a jackass if I start handing in writing assignments in yank english.

Here's my awesome Barclays update...for all I know my cheque might have cleared by now...however I have no way of knowing this because I've not yet received my ATM card in the post. Amazingly though, I've received my online banking card and passcode which is worth absolutely nothing to me right now. I'm perpetually amazed that Barclays is one of the biggest banks in the UK. They'd be out of business within 6 months if they ran a bank like this in the US. I was actually under the impression that the United States had a ton of bureaucracy, however the UK clearly beats the US in bureaucracy and general administrative nonsense by a wide wide margin.
