It's not as simple as 'Oh Americans are largely trigger-happy'.
America is a passionate, full hearted, country. Switzerland is a small , more uniformly rich, famously dispassionate, nation. Switzerland has a huge suicide rate. I'm not surprised. How could sensitive people feel happy about a country known as a tax haven for seedy businessmen and storer of Nazi gold?
