Heeled boots too OTT for college?

Do you think that high heeled boots are to over the top to wear to college? I have loads of heels, but dunno if they would look to dressed up for college? Opinions please! :smile:

Depends - are they ankle boots? Because that's fairly casual if you wear it with casual clothes. If they're any taller, I'd think no, but it depends on what they look like and what you'd wear them with. :smile:

It depends on the boots and the height and thickness of the heel. Ankle boots or knee-high boots with chunky heels can be worn with casual outfits, but in my opinion anything with stiletto heels would look a little too formal for college.

If you have loads of heels thats clearly what you like to wear and feel good in. Wear them.

Yea, i agree with ^ ! I think it's ok to wear heeles to college, just dont wear any "pointy" / stiletto type.

i think it would be fine, as long as you are comfortable in them.

If you can walk aroung in college all day in them as if they wern't there then yes, go ahead!

but...

If u struggle with them then it may look like your trying to hard.

The more you wear things the less formal they will appear to others, it soon just becomes just part of your personal style..... just like girls that can wear dresses and make them look casual.xxx

Meh, I wear point heels etc to lectures! In fact most of my wardrobe is semi-formal anyway! I don't 'do' the jeans + hoodie + UGG look!!

wear what you like, i dont think anyone really notices. ive seen girls walking around my college in 5 inch stilletos an skirts that are a total insult to any belt. yet no one seems to really notice :s-smilie:

yeah, they are loads of girls at my school who wear heels to school, and nobody ever really says anything, unless the shoes are really ugly/the girl cant walk in them but you probably wont have ugly shoes and seeing as you said you had loads of heels, you can probably walk in them so it should be fine

No, I wear heeled boots sometimes.. not like everyday but now and again they come up to about my calf, are about 2 inches high and I just wear them with tights and a denim skirt or over skinny jeans.. always with a casual top so its not dressy really. Wear whatever you like!
