Hi its me again the same girl with the questions about the condoms and stuff...im also just kinda wondering...is 14 to young to lose your virginity?....how old were some of u guys when you lost it? ~SaMMy

bloody hell of course it is. now stop talking about it. its so wrong.
I think so, I wouldn't have understood what it meant fully at that age. And from your other thread, if you're that worried about protection you may want to consider rethinking, it sounds like you're not really mature enough emotionally to deal with any consequences? I was 16, which looking back I'm glad I didn't lose it when I was younger..

Argh yes it is!

I lost mine when i was 15 and i thought i was soooo ready and i soooo wasnt! Saying that i think that it really is up to you but i would really recommend just waiting for a while.

yes.

(if you ask older people this they will more than likely say yes. It's difficult not to sound patronising but I think in this case older is most definitely wiser - most people regret losing their virginity so young. I don't think anyone younger than 17 is mature enough - sounding patronising again sorry! - to make a decision taking into account all the implications.... I'll shut up now.)

Yup I agree - its way too young. If you can't deal with any possible consequences of sex just don't do it. Plus, if you wait till you're older and generally more experienced it'll be way better. Nobody likes crappy teenage sex anyway.
I lost my virginity when I was 14 and I don't regret it. Hell the same guy is still causing me heartache right up until yesterday.....it's right when it feels right, just be careful.

Oh, yeah. Personally I think it is, I know I'm a bloke. *checks to make sure* But I lost mine at 18 and I still think it was too early for me. Especially when the girl comes back and says she thinks she's pregnant.

Think about it. You could be absolutely careful and accidents still happen. There's still a slight chance you could get pregnant. Do you want that happening at 14!!! I mean, by the time you did your GCSEs you'd have a baby!!!!!

Seriously, I think 99.99999% of people aren't mature enough to have sex at 14. I think I remember reading the national average is 17. But I could be wrong.

Yes, at 14, you are still a kid, no matter how mature you think you are. Plus, isn't it illegal for boys to have intercourse with an under-aged girl?
I can totally see the police banging down the door to arrest a 15 year old boy.

Only if the other participant is over 16. So its not illegal for under 16's to have sex as long as they are both under 16.

I may be wrong but that is what I have always believed.

eeeerrrrmmmmm, doesnt modern law say so?
actually, in the uk it is illegal for anyone to have sex under 16.

regardless of who the other partner is.

its just another urban myth,,,just like if you have sex standing up you wont get pregnant.

Ok so maybe I was wrong. but the law is funny here, it is illegal for someone under 16 to buy cigarettes, but it is not illegal for them to smoke any aquired!

Dammit there goes my method of contraception!!
