Can I apply for first time student loan For my postgraduate degree?

Hello there,

I am a mature student and starting a 3 year degree this September, which I will fund myself in order to be able to apply for student load for the postgrad degree for veterinary medicine in 2020 as I will need the student loan much more for the postgrad degree.

Is it possible to apply this way around to ensure I have sufficient funding for the vetmed degree? What do you advise?

Postgrad loans are only 10k and there's no way round the system even if you self fund before then.
