anger

when i get angry i always bite back at people without thinking or start a row with people,
i get angry and throw things sometimes and i trashed my CD stacker thing the other day coz my brother annoyed me, so i screamed at him at the top of my lungs then i pushed the CDs over!

how can i calm down or make it so if someone says something to me that makes me annoyed i don't just lay into them and scarem and shout!!

its really silly i know my mates when i was at school told me to count to ten and bite my tongue but nowadays i just get angry!!

i don't want to go to angry management just need a way of getting rid of it without breaking loads of stuff (by throwing it)

Laugh.
Ha sounds stupid I know, but when i get angry like that I just make myself laugh, look in the mirror and look at how serious your face looks or something, that usually cracks me up. Then you'll realise that it's not that big a deal to get so angry about and you'll calm down in no time. Or you could try just walking away and taking big breaths and look at something else to take your mind of it.

embrace it and enjoy it. It's probably just who you are at the moment.

Either that or go for a run instead.

i got so angry last night i packed a suitcase and left my house and went to a mates, then decided i was being stupid and went home about 11pm, coz i was the one who made the row worse by swearing at my mum!! oops

earlier i was really annoyed and angry (not really at anything) and then girlsaloud came on the telly and i started laughing) coz the song was really feel good and dancy!!

but when there isn't a telly or music around what happens i might get violent i don;t want to do that (i never knew i was capable of being this angry)

i've always found running helps release angry and stress, and a good way to get fit :smile:

Never saw the point of breakin your own posessions in anger..


grab it really tight and throw it at a wall it does make me a little less angry normally it is just a mobile phone or a remote, the CDs where on there waiting to be thrown away coz i had to clear out everything due to a move!
its so stupid i know but hey, i punched a wall once luckily i was drunk!! its so silly to get this angry i know but sometimes everything gets on top of me and i explode,

do you think that making a diary would help? as writting stuff might help!

I cant see you wanting to sit down and write whilst angry.

I really cant offer any advice in this kind of situation as the only times ive ever been amazinly angry have been when my little brothers or sister were getting picked on or something... and in those cases i solved the problem very quickly.

my family wind me up so much sometimes my parents constantly go on, and on, my dad told me that none cared i was ill and there was more important things going on when i was so cold i had to get into my bed to get warm! (this was in the daytime), then my mum starts about it and i just exploded!!

my brother winds me up about my boyfriend constantly! i think maybe i should stop and think for a few seconds and think should i even speak now or shall i just walk off!! easier said then done though i think
