No.2......

:redface: Ok, posting anon as abit embarassed.

Basically I haven't been for a No. 2 in 2days. Jus told my mum and she said ''how on earth can you not go for that long'' as apparently your meant to go 2times a day - is that right???

Anyone got any advice as to what can help me go more often???? I eat pretty well so cant understand why not going to no.2's more often?!?!?!? :frown:

People are built differently. Some go several times a day, some go every several days. It's not a problem unless you don't go twice a week or so.

Sounds completely normal to me. Your diet usually has a significant affect on how often you need to go, so anything from twice a day to twice a week is probably normal.

im totally random sometimes. I sometimes go number 2 after 4 days. Other times its once a day. Sometimes food triggers when u wanna go. 2 glasses of coke has enough gas to make me wanna go.

yeh that can happen, but when it comes it will come. eat fibre-y food more often

Well, you can do a no. 2 even when you don't "feel" you have to. I hear you're meant to do one once a day, or at least once every other day. But either way, if you're not getting constipation and you're still healthy and everything's normal, I wouldn't worry about it. If in doubt, consult your GP :smile:
Sounds like you should be adding more fibre to your diet. Do you have a generally nutritious diet? or do you tend to miss out on certain food groups?

I eat a fair bit of fruit and veg, I eat cereal bars quite often when im at Uni as I get a tad peckish in between lectures and I drink a fair bit of water. I hardly ever eat junk food as it makes me feel quite unwell.

I would say my diet is quite alright really, just dont get why im not pooing more often really - but I guess everyone is different right?
Well, if you're worried, eat more fibre - things like wholegrain breakfast cereals and breads, wholewheat pasta, brown rice, jacket potatoes, peas, beans, lentils, fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds... just make sure you up your fluid intake.

^^Im not crying as to why I cant poo as often, I was just a tad curious as to why but thanks for your input - I will definately plot the graph and show you - how about that?????
Don't worry; gb is being at unsympathetic and robotic as ever.

Personally, I only go 2/3 times per week. I have an ok diet - nothing untoward. I drink water, eat veg, munch fruit etc... I think it's a personal thing. Don't worry.

normal is anything from 3 times a day to about twice a week. if it's not causing you any problems, then it's not a problem. as long as you're not bleeding or getting abdo pain or anything i wouldn't worry about it. the only thing is that obviously if you're not going so frequently, you probly hav a low fibre intake in your diet. this isn't a problem in itself but it's healthy to eat more as it helps prevent bowel diseases later in life, specifically colon cancer, which is a particularly nasty beast... jus make sure you're getting your five a day!
Haha, felt I have to share my experiences as well. I was doing security at music festivals most of summer. Was at Glastonbury for 9 days and had to do no.2 twice.

At Glade festival was there for 5 or 6 days and didn't go once! I didn't even feel like I needed to, although I wanted to just in case I had the urge to go during my shift!

Funny when you get back home you need no.2 like 4 times that day!!

^^Yea its like when I was going on holiday I was on n off the toilet on the coach to the airport and at the airport and on the place, was in the country for 3weeks and went about 3/4times, once blocking the toilet in a hotel!! Get back home, my toilet visiting returned to my usual - every 2/3days..strange! lol

eating fruit like bananas, raisons and figs is a good idea if you have any worries
