need homework outs, cant go for runs or the gym, dont ask why im not making excuses its just not possible, so my mate said 50 sit ups in the morning 50 sit ups at night was his method. thoughts?
That will only improve your core muscles which will help to pull the fat in. You will not actually be losing fat, just hiding it. You have to create a calorie deficit, eg burn more calories in the day then you intake.

Calorie deficit is the only way. You cant spot reduce.

ok ok and this may sound dumb but how do i do that haha, where do i start
Cut out on all processed and fatty food. Eat fruits and veg. Drink water and do exercise. But it's 80% intake of food and 20% exercise so food is the main solution to all of this
Spot reduction is a myth, so you can't do targeted exercises to lose fat in one specific area. The easiest way to lose weight is to eat less - easy on paper but harder in practice.
any foods i should avoid? - obviously sugars, ive heard bread? also any techniques to help when you're starving? and if you're saying spot reduction is a myth then shall i not bother with the nightly sit ups / planks

I found drinking water to help a lot instead of having a snack. I mean it's probably not a bad habit to do nightly planks/callisthenics but it won't have any considerable effect on weight loss.

Well just eat less. Also cut down on any drinks other than water. A good idea is to use my fitness Pal and that way you can track your calories. You want to reduce on the carbs and mainly snacks. Try not to eat between meals. However, if you are starving, I have been advised that not eating is a bad idea, if you are really hungry eat something. Also exercise as it helps with the calorie deficit. Just do it when you can like walking instead of taking a car or something.
