they don't appear to be in very close proximity to the stage.

I've been in that very block before, seeing Status Quo. Every seat's got a good view, there's no obstacles or anything. You'll just be looking quite harshly to the right if you're sitting down, that's all.

I've been like 5 times and I have always been in the first quarter of the floor - the seats in the first quarter don;t look so bad tho (at the sides that is)
you should be able to get a good view from anywhere - but you might not be able to make out the actual performers.
