Disabled going to university

Hi,

I am looking to go to university in September to study business management full time.

However, I am registered disabled and was just wondering if going to university will trigger a reassessment for PIP? None of my needs will change.
I think that's something you'll have to bring up with PIP yourself. It probably wouldn't affect anything though.
There is no need for a PIP reassessment if your needs are unchanged. You need to notify the DWP only if your needs increase or decrease.

If someone claims Carers Allowance for you and they will no longer be caring for you 35 hours per week, they will have to inform the DWP of this change for them.

Make sure you get the forms from Student Finance to be assessed for DSA (disabled Students Allowances) for Uni as you can get extra help in the form of study and mental support workers, a computer, travel allowance aid, etc
