what would be the best way of treating this? so far ive just used cold water and a tissue. what can i do to prevent it from leaving a mark.

You can't prevent it. ;no;

The best way to probably stop the bleeding is to swipe it with iodine and let the blood flow a little bit (the blood is what clots). But don't let too much flow out!

;console; :hugs:

please help .. you guys usually give really good advice. are there any creams any one knows of that could make it heal quicker.
What kind of a mark are you referring to? If its a small scratch it's not going to leave a scar, and nothing is really going to make it heal quicker apart from just some time to heal, leave it alone!
big purple plaster?

I've always used savalon when i cut myself or something. That's just to make sure it doesn't get infected or anything though.

its not a deep scratch. its quite small but quite wide at the top just below my eye. it seems like it will leave a mark which will only go after a few months.

Generally scratches have to be quite deep to leave a scar; I'm veeery accident prone, and I only have one scratch which stayed with me, and that was when my cat scratched me quite deeply on the part of the forearm where your veins are. You could put some antiseptic on it, but as long as it's not bleeding excessively then it'd probably be best to just leave it. The fact that it's on your head means that it's slightly less likely to get infected than if it was on your hand for example. :smile:

You could try Homoeopathy, there is a remedy called Arnica that can help speed up/supplement the bodies healing process for things like bruises and cuts etc.
