OCR MEI FP2 Polar co-ordinates sketching

My Question is in regards to a function such as r = acos(3x) and the value of x being between -1/2pi and 1/2pi. I can sketch r = acos(3x) if x is between 0 and 2pi perfectly fine. How do I label my graph or place my points on it if x is between -1/2pi and 1/2pi? I know what the solution looks like however I can't see how I am supposed to get to it.
you want to keep the right hand half of the full drawing. you could draw the whole function then rub out the left hand half.
