What is the main difference between diffusion and osmosis other than osmosis is down a semi permeable membrane

Osmosis refers to the movement of water only whereas diffusion is the movement of any chemical

Slight correct - osmosis is for water in liquid state. Vapour always diffuses.

Osmosis does not occur in the nucleus; however, m-RNA diffuses out of the Nucleus through the pores and into the cytoplasm for transcription.
