Did any of your teachers attempt to give out grades based on your ventile rank?

I got 95th ventile rank which my teacher said would probably be an 8/9, it was the highest my class despite me being only average in my class in terms of ability. The people that usually get top of the class and grade 8s on tests got like 80th ventile rank, which really surprised me. I'm kinda worried there was a mistake considering I knew hardly anything on the physics paper lol!

Yeah apparently lots of people flopped it. The average score nationwide for each paper was around 20-25... thats out of 50
