What kind of pen to use for exams?

Just curious what pen type we're allowed to use - I know it's supposed to be black ink so does that include biro/ballpoint, fountain pen, gel pen and whatever else?

A very mediocre pen indeed because no matter how fast and hard I scribble, I never manage to get any 'A's ~

Lol exactly, might as well save your money rather than spending it on good pens...

All the regulations (which your school is required to have sent you) say about pens is:
You must write clearly and in black ink.
and
Do not use correcting pens, fluid or tape, erasable pens, highlighters or gel pens in your answers.
Other than that it is up to you. Fountain or ballpoint pens are fine.

Please do not talk like a teacher/examiner, it's scary, esp. with exams nearing~

Occupational hazard for @Compost - they are an exams officer

LOL.

(Hence their accurate and appropriate advice.)

I use the Muji 0.5 black ink pens
I'm a bit paranoid and in my mocks brought in 3 spares + a biro just incase
I also always have 4 different coloured highlighters for English/ history sources etc

A black BIC biro is accepted in pretty much any exam.

If you want to write a bit neater and don't want your hand to ache as much, I'd recommend a Parker Jotter, cheap and cheerful (and sturdy, too).

Feather tip and a pot of ink for me
