Hmm, does it really have to be the nights? Some people can focus better early in the morning than late at night, so if you find you can't concentrate after work, you might be one of them. Have you tried going to bed a bit sooner than you normally would and then getting up an hour early to work on the assignment before you embark on your tiring workday? If you could do that two or three times a week, you could spread out the work on your assignment a bit more, so there wouldn't be quite so much pressure on you to get everything done on the Sunday. It's worth a try, anyway...:dontknow:
You have my sympathy as I often have to work late into the night on uni stuff. However, having said that, I can't really see what your problem is. If it needs to be done in an evening, just have a cup of tea and do it! My degree is hardly the hardest here, but there are people such as architects, double matrisse students, and people who work something in the region of 12+ hours a day in addition to lectures and so on.

I know that a part-time job can be tiring, but unfortunately it's life and you've got to just cope with it. Uni isn't 9 to 5 by its very nature. I myself am going to be working until 10pm tonight or so. It happens, you've just got to deal with it and get on with it. Moaning on TSR about how tired and stressed you are helps, too!
You just need to manage your time a bit better. I know it's difficult to do a degree and hold a job down at the same time but try and find the spaces in which you've got free time and try to fit half an hour or research in, that's what I do. If you've got a free period or a couple of hours before work try to do some of your assignment then. (I take some of my notes to work with me sometimes when it's a slow day and I know no one's going to be in) As for staying awake, maybe try having a short nap when you get in and then doing some work afterwards with a cup of coffee or tea.

if it really comes to it you'll just have to do an all nighter. Don't worry, assignments always get done in some way or another. Are you a first year?

Maybe you could look into skim reading, and checking indexes for relevant pages so you don't have to spend too much time on the research bit?
