I haven't got any A-levels yet but I'm doing 6 AS levels in September and am hoping to get 6 As for them (yeah right!) in August 2005

Not sure if I'll do 6 A2s though

its not fair, at my school you can't do more than 4 AS/A2, otherise it won't fit into their precious timetable

No its the same with my school. I amabout to start my AS's and I can only do 4 subjects. I wanted to do 5 and had terrible trouble deciding which one to do, but didnt fancy arguing it out with the head and in the end i chose one!

I'm doing 6 but they say only 5

But I have to do all these subjects because I don't know what I want to do when I'm older - and I don't know what I want to study at Uni either.

And 6 AS subjects can fit into the timetable at my school.

Now one headteacher ain't gonna stop me

theres not much point doing 6, just make up your mind and choose 4

(well 5 with general studies but that doesn't really count)

Lolz.. one of mine includes General Studies!!! But the rest were 'respectable', or so I hear.

Thankfully we didn't have to do General Studies - even more work =(

Doing 6 AS subjects is rough

General studies isnt more work. I had no lessons and went into the exam blind (without even seeing a past paper) walked aout with a very high B (aae in modules). The most pointless subject ever!

I agree. We had no lessons for General Studies, and likewise I walked into the exam blind. I got 290/300 incuding 100% in 2 papers, so likewise, you don't necessarily need teaching to get an A Grade, although I guess it may help.
Same here. I've got an overall 98% for my A2 General Studies with no teaching, and I don't live in the UK. I lost marks in a paper about national heritage and castles, because we simply have NO IDEA what national heritage is.. and can't give any relevant examples of castles lolz.

Same here...I wanted to do 5 but was only allowed 4 of 'timetable constraints'. Cool avatar btw.

Ahhh right...made the foolish assumption that it would be more work because its an A level !

Oh well, don't really have a clue about the course
