Energy gaps of an electron question

Im confused by this question
"An emission spectrum of some ionised gas showed photons emitted with wavelengths 500nm and 612nm. Calculate the three energy gaps for the electron."
Now I imagine you need to use the formula 'hc/wavelength=E2-E1' but I just cant seem to get it to work. Any help would be great thank you!
The equation you've specified tells you how to calculate the energy gap for a specific emission.

Where exactly are you stuck in your thinking?
