Asked for evidence - need to send a document not listed

Hi,

I've been asked to supply evidence for TY 15-16.

As I was made redundant before start of that year, but paid up to end of April 2015 I do not have a P60 for that Tax Year but do have a P45. I didn't start full time work again until September 2016.

Can I send the P45 in lieu of the P60? Even though there is no box to tick on the evidence form for a P45? Which box in employment income should I tick?

I will also be sending a copy of my online Tax Return for 15-16.

Hi Keithwhite,

We can accept the April wage slip for the income paid or a letter from you previous employer confirming this period.

The Employers Letter must be on company headed paper, signed and dated and confirm gross salary and tax code.

If you were self employed after leaving this job during 15/16 we will accept your finalised online tax return also.
