A very hard question for me. I think the B vitamins ave each independantly interesting due to their intricate metabolic niches, but then there are also some very vital, yet almost unheard of and grossly unappreciated strutures that have very fun functions (eg. The long chain menaquinones)

So, fellow nutrition nerds, what is your favourite vitamin, and why?

Probably Vitamin C. It is found in my favourite fruits and vegetables i.e Lemons, Tomatoes and Potatoes. Also the idea that it can reduce the chances of getting a cardiovascular disease to a certain extent. Lastly, because it can increase how much iron is absorbed into the system.

Scientific terminology is slightly lacking in my response

Vitamin D, the greatest thing about it is that it can be obtained from the Sunlight and Dank Memes

If you have a good diet + lifestyle then you shouldn't need vitamin supplements. Just look at vegans who don't know what they are doing, they go to the doctor one day and find out their body is on the edge.

I'm into bodybuilding so I need to supplement. I can't possibly take everything with just the diet.

That isn't entirely true, my blood test told me I was short of B12 for no particular reason.

I guess this is true. My most recent blood test told me I was low in iron even though I've never been low in iron before and my diet hasn't really changed over the past few years.

But in general you shouldn't need to take supplements.

I'd get the B12 sorted; I've ready some pretty unpleasant things about having a deficiency in it :P
