Ive got a house for 5 people sorted for next year but my girlfriends plans have now changed and shes going to come live with me, do i have to do anything or can she just live in my room with me and we pay half the rent each?

most uni accommodation only lets people stay with you for 2/3 nights in a row...she's going to have to be studying at that uni to live in halls with you
If it's private accom then you'd have to ask the land lord .

In theory you are supposed to ask your landlord, but I have never heard of a landlord checking as long as you pay on time and don't trash the place.
