Damp damage near Windows
Hopefully it uploads properly but I've uploaded a picture of some of the damp/mould damage in my room near my window, I cleaned it the best I could but the stain is still there. I'm really worried I might be fined for this when checking out and was just wondering if it's normal or if there's any way to repair it.
You wouldn't be fined as it wasn't your fault that the damp or mould occurred. The best thing to do is to report it to your landlord as he is responsible for providing a safe and habitable house for you to live in. After all, you are paying for your accommodation! In the meantime, make sure you air your room out as much as possible to dry it out - open your window, don't dry wet clothes in your room...
