Yup I'm with you. I often 'zone out' in lectures and have to really concentrate on staying focused.

I think my bod is still adapting to the new term.

I feel like that quite alot too.
I tend to go off into my own little world sometimes.

Does anyone else feel excessively tired a lot of the time? The weird thing about it is though, that at night time I come to life, even though I've been shattered and almost nodding off all day long. Grrr!!!

I'm always at my liveliest at about 9 or 10 at night, regardless of whether I've been tired during the day. Oddly, I've been doing more in the last couple of weeks (due to starting uni) than I have for months, and getting less sleep, but I'm much less tired than usual. I guess when you just laze around all day you feel sluggish but actually going out and doing things wakes you up.

I eat plenty meat, so surely that wouldn't be the case?

maybe but not always. its possible to be eating what should be enough but not absorbing it. try drinking a glass of orange juice with meals

I actually always have orange juice with both breakfast and evening meal, although, it's the concentrate rubbish that they make up in catered halls.

This is my life story. No matter where I am in the world or what my schedule is like, I always end up falling into a pattern of being tired and taking naps all day and then suddenly feeling productive and awake at 9 PM - 5 AM! I wouldn't mind if I had a late start in the day but when I work for 11 hours a day or start classes at 9 AM, it really doesn't work out.

Hmm, dunno. Calcium should be fine as I always have cereal wi milk in the morning plus a yoghurt (I always imagine it has calcium, could be wrong though) with both meals. I have no idea which foods contain Mg.

This is ME! I feel absolutely crap all through the day and cant stop yawning my head off and feel half asleep, make awful notes. But then at about 10 i feel so awake and alive!I eat plenty of meat and orange juice is my favourite drink. I get plenty of fruit as my part time job is a smoothie bar and i get plenty of exercise walking everywhere and play tennis. Just makes no sense : / i dont have anaemia either.

I feel tired when I stay in and do nothing all day.

I'm getting this alot at the moment.

Strangely the one day in the last month or so I haven't felt exhausted was the one where I only had a few hours sleep... It's not something I'd feel confident recommending though, could make things worse.

Reply 16

I had a sleep study done last night as I'm always so exhausted and know I have really disturbed sleep. I had to explain to my boss that it's being investigated as people thought I was just taking the michael by yawning my way through work every day!

i'm always tired, but i spend most of the day driving, and most of the evening sitting about and bouncing on my trampoline. invigorating, i know.
