M1o0, M103....

Why do some llb courses have different ucas codes? i'm confused!
M100 usually refers to the 3-year standard Law LLB course.

M103 could also mean the same thing.

Different uni's use different ones.

For example, when I applied for Law, all 5 unis used M100 for the 3-year course, but Brunel used M103 instead.

oh ok so the m103 at brunel is exactly the same as m100 at other unis. how stupid! thanks for the reply
how do u find brunel?
Well Brunel has 2 law courses, 1 with a placement which is why they would need 2 different codes.
Are you thinking of applying to Brunel?

Brunel Law dept is not bad - apparently they are like amongst the best UK uni's for their research blah blah etc.

The lectures are quite good (if a little boring at times), and there is extra support material on the intranet/student portal, so you can make extra notes.

Erm...it's OK academically.

I think if you get accepted for the 3-year course, if you tell them as soon as you can, you MIGHT be able to change. I haven't met anyone that has switched over yet though.

During the 4-year sandwich, you spend the first term of Year 2 in work and then the second term of Year 3 in work too.

So in total you get 2 terms worth of work experience.
