Over the knee socks

....what do people think?? bought a pair today from primark - just to give them a go, and i quite like them with short shorts on.

what do you all think? cute or slutty??

I think you should wear them with a tweedy mini, wear sheer tights and put the socks over. I saw that look in a magazine somewhere and it looked fabulous.

i'd say they can look good if you have skinny legs, but if not they can make even slim legs look massive

I see quite a lot of Chinese people rocking this look, they can pull it off but i've yet to see anyone else do so..

I quite like it but i;d be too scared of trying it out.

I got some a while ago, I haven't worn them yet as I'm not sure what shoes to wear with them.

I'll probably would put them with short shorts too and some shoobs!

yeah well i have a halloween party to go to .... soooo im thinking of wearing them then -because its fancy dress i would be able to get away with anything!

i will wear them with black shorts and a black top and then devil horns n stuff like that and see how they go

It completly depends on what you wear with them to be honest. You have to avoid certain things so you don't look like you're trying to look like someone dressed as a schoolgirl for a night out.

definitely cute! I used to wear them a lot. I'd say wear tights under during the day though, otherwise it can look a bit schoolgirl/slutty. & don't listen to all the idiots saying it'll make your legs look chubby, srsly, they just don't have the confidence to wear em! (I'm of the school of thought that all the horizontal stripes/white jeans etc rules are myths though)

My friends and I were TOTALLY into this look about four years ago... I still think it looks hot and often wear out my over the knee socks with skirts!
Be careful, though: the stripy socks (although they look best) will fatten up your legs a treat. Have a look for socks with thin stripes on or some other type of pattern.

It's a VERY sexy look! But I agree that they make your legs look chubby. Mind you, I saw a girl on the train who was wearing them and although I noted that her legs looked a bit on the pudgy side, she still looked ridiculously hot.

About 5 years ago it was a massive trend at my school to wear rainbow striped or black-and-another-bright-colour over the knee socks :tongue:

I don't think I've ever worn them with shorts but they could work!
