Hi all,

I was just wondering whether any of you have any experiences in how difficult it would be to convert from a BSc in Psychology to an MSc in Data Science? I received two conditional offers for City and Manchester university, however unsure as to whether I would be able to manage it, as I don't have any programming experience. Any one out there with some experience?
Any information would be really helpful!

It's never too late to start learning R for example. I've spoken to a few data scientists and some have recommended the book called 'Advanced R' by Hadley Wickham which I have but haven't got round to using yet :hide: which, despite the name, teaches you stuff from the basics too.. there's codeacademy etc.

I know for CompSci MSc you don't need much experience either, not sure about Data Science MSc but worth looking into.

Thank you! You are right, if I were to continue with a PhD (especially in Cognitive neuroscience or behavioural genetics) I probably would have to learn to program sooner or later anyway. I am just concerned about whether a full-time Masters would be too much at once, while for research within Psychology it would be more self- paced.
