Puff absolutely.
Shortcrust is all stodgy and gross - makes you need a drink. Puff is so light and delicious.

Im kinda conflicted with pastry tbh. I like croissant and pain au chocolat but love fruit tarts with shortcrust pastry / sweet pastry. If made right, shortcrust is surprisingly light and has a texture like a flaky biscuit. In any case I hate pastry in savoury dishes (in which case bread-like substances rule).

Shortcrust. it's so simple to make and there's so many recipes that I like that include shortcrust pastry.
If this was Shortcrust Vs Filo pastry then I would've gone for Filo though.
