As in wear and tear on the joint if you are prone to osteoarthiritis/have chronic knee inflammation/family history.

a) running miles everyday

b) training for 100m hurdles everyday?

As a physiotherapy student , i would say the training for hurdles ... running helps the knee joint to lubbticste itself , so it's actually a good thing but hurdles is not the same...

I was told that running doesn't make your knees worse. But I've had non-runners claim the complete opposite. Because of course, sitting on your backside is so much healthier...

Both are pretty high impact on the knee. If you want things that are good for knees, then go for things like cycling or swimming.
