Can someone do an example to help me on this as I've done it wrong and I have no clue

Ahhhhh, gcse maths memories, oh the good times :smile:

I would help if i could remember how to do it but just search up the topic on the internet.

so its 0.64 (24 recurring) as a fraction in its simplest form

1) Write the recurring number - 0.6242424242424...
2) 100x - 62.242424242424...
3) 10x - 06.242424242424...
4) Minus the two numbers (Cancel out all the 24's before the decimal point)
90x - 56
Therefore as a fraction it is 56/90 and that can be simplified to 28/45

Not right, nearly there tho try 1000 x and 10 x as 100x will give you 62.424 and you cant do what youve done above with that
