Hey I'm on OCR but completing the Tudors paper, so I think I might be able to help.

For one, revising themes, rather than chronological events is best; so revise rebellions, economy, foreign or domestic policy etc. as these are most likely to be themes that the questions in the exam are based around.
In addition to that, maybe find some past papers or ask teachers for some questions to complete? Any practice is beneficial now, and will definitely help. Doing these might find that it's technique, not information that hides the problem and causes lower marks.
My teacher recommended the PEACH system; Point, Evidence, Analysis, Counter-argument, and 'However' - the argument moving back to your original point.

I hope this helps
