Forgetting how to spell basic words!

I've always been really good at spelling, but whenever I'm in lectures my brain turns into mush and I seem to forget how to spell the most simplest of words. Like the other day I couldn't remember how to spell 'is'!!! Does anyone else get this, or is something weird happening to my brain?!

I don't get that, but it may be because you are trying to concentrate on the content of the lecture and trying to write it down at the same time. Don't worry too much about it; at least it is only a lecture and you can correct your notes afterwards.

I have an odd problem of forgetting how to write when I'm in lectures...the letters 'w' and 's' often come out strange, and sometimes my hand just stops moving and my mind goes blank, and it feels like I have forgotten how to write completely. :s-smilie:

I'm not at uni yet, but the same thing happens to me, I can't spell or do simple arithmatic, need a calculator to multiply two single digit numbers, and yet I'm a straight A maths, further maths & physics student, weird. I think its something to do with thinking about too much at the same time.
