Male-Female Ratio on Psychology Courses?

Hi, Im just wondering if Psychology is seen as a female subject.

Are courses generally made up of 95% females. This is what I have been led to believe. Is this generally the truth.

AT my lectures there is generally a sea of female's. My practical group (I.E cut down to 40ish of us) is probably at least 70% female, perhaps more.

This is probably true, though I didnt notice it very much in the lectures in my psychology elective.
