Positives - Globalisation has increased employment in low wage emerging economics like China with the outsourcing of production by multinational corporations. In these countries it has created jobs with higher skills and higher incomes.

Negatives - Concern has been expressed by some that investment and jobs in more advanced economies, e.g. Europe and USA, have drained away to developing countries. Some jobs are lost as firms switch their production to countries with lower unit labour costs. This can lead to higher levels of structural unemployment.

Globalisation is the ever increasing integration of economies into a multinational market.

Globalisation has led to increased opportunities for workers to migrate abroad to achieve better work opportunities, however this had led to the "brain drain"
