Hello,I am a Greek student trying to fill in my application for student loan.
I had my national ID certified by a police officer and translated (the certification) by the British Council.I asked the police officer to fill in the certifier checklist but unfortunately, he informed me that the Greek legislation prevents the police to stamp any non-greek paper.Hence,he couldn't fill in the certifier checklist but all his details are on the certified copy (address, stamp, name, occupation, telephone number...) and all this info has been translated into English.

Can the SFE accept the certified evidence without the certifier checklist completed or what other alternative do I have?Do I have to do this whole process all over again with a new certifier, and if I do ,does the certified copy need to be translated or could it be accepted simply if the certifier certifies it in English?

Thank you in advance !

Hi Irenee,

Thanks for your question.

If you are sending a certified copy then you must send this along with the Certified Checklist. The certified checklist must be dated within the last 90 days in order to be accepted. The Certified Checklist requires to be officially stamped by the certifier.

However, if you cannot provide this Irenee, the certifier can also officially stamp the copy of the ID evidence that is being sent. If both documents aren't stamped they won't be accepted as valid ID evidence.

Thank you.
