I've just completed it but I did it through Harriet Ellis as my college is crap. It means I can go in for a promotion to Senior care assistant now but that's about it for me because I don't particularly want to take out life committing uni loans, I'd rather save up

Depends on the exam board you will be with, and the topic your teacher chooses to teach you during the year.
I am with AQA, and I personally find it extremely interesting! We just completed our exam topic for this year which was 'understanding health conditions and patient care pathways'- (which we learnt about things like anorexia, diabetes, schizophrenia, bulimia etc) so if you find that kind of thing interesting, then it's a great course.
Coursework was a lot of work- we had to do ours based on a nursery environment, so we had to do our experience at a nursery and write TONS and TONS about it... (I literally feel like I've earned myself a PGCE now! 😂)
But next year we get to choose our work placement which is great.
It might help to go into the AQA website and look at the past papers to get a general jist of the exam side of things, (my paper was unit 2).
It's definitely a great course, I've really enjoyed it so far.
Hope this is somewhat useful for you...
