There is always something on pollutants, their effects and how to reduce them.

There is other stuff aabout the environment that they like to ask - pros and cons of recylcing vs burning vs landfill vs biodegradable materials for plastics, why recycling metals is better than mining them, the good and bad points of mining limestone, phytomining and bioleaching to extract copper.

The plant oils section is very short, so there is very little that they could ask - emulsifiers, hardening unsaturated oils (nickel catalyst, 60 degrees C, hydrogen), test for unsaturated oils (bromine water turns colourless), how distillation works.

Some new stuff:

I went through the past papers since 2012 when the new spec started and all the exams. The following things from the spec have never been used. The exam board need to use everything, so I predict these things will be up tomorrow.

Good and bad points of limestone quarrying
Comparing limestone vs concrete vs cement as a building material
Bioleaching
Metals as structural materials
The effect of particulate pollutants - global dimming and lung problems
Comparing cornstarch vs plastic bags
The good and bad points of emulsifiers in foods

Good luck!
